(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Kurt Steffek has been hired as vice president of promotion for Razor & Tie. He starts at the label on January 31 and will be handling all radio and video promotion for the labels acts, including Danko Jones, Dar Williams, The Chemistry, and The Giraffes among others.
Razor & Tie co-owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam commented, “Kurt brings a wealth of experience to table and we are thrilled to have him at the helm of our promotion department. We are very optimistic about our 2005 releases and expect Kurt to play a major role in the success of Razor & Tie.”

Steffek was most recently national senior director of modern rock/rock formats in the Reprise radio promotion department working with bands like Green Day, The Used, Disturbed and Story Of The Year.
