HAMBURG, Germany (VIP NEWS) — Stephan Thanscheidt joined FKP Scorpio in 2009 as Head of Festival booking and the Local Department. He is responsible for the national and international line-ups of the entire FKP Scorpio festival portfolio, as well as concerts and shows in the Hamburg area.
In his new position as Managing Director of FKP Scorpio it is intended that he will drive and shape the future growth strategy in the festival and concert business.
The two Managing Directors will be supported by a newly formed management team, consisting of the heads of departments tours, finance and festival production.
Folkert Koopmans commented: "FKP Scorpio has developed very well over the past decade, and particularly in the last two or three years there has been an additional positive boost. With our offices in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Vienna, the number of employees in Europe now exceeds 100 people. We organize 18 festivals in five countries, serving more than 300 tours and as many local concerts per year.
The FKP Group expect to reach a record revenue of more than 100 million Euros in 2013. With this success, the scope and complexity of our activities has increased enormously – as well as the requirements of the management. With Stephan Thanscheidt I have an experienced promoter at my side, who was already involved in the previous work leading to the positive development of FKP Scorpio. Through his assignment to Managing Director I will have the necessary freedom to concentrate intensively on new projects and especially on expansion in the European festival market.
