Steve Aoki Sued Over Crowd Surfing Incident

SAN DIEGO, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Steve Aoki and the Hard Rock Cafe have been hit with a lawsuit by a fan who claims the DJ broke her neck while crowd surfing at a show in 2012.

Brittany Hickman alleges that when Aoki jumped off of the stage during a show at the Hard Rock Cafe in San Diego, he handed on a blow-up raft with Hickman trapped underneath.

Hickman says she was rendered unconscious in the incident and later diagnosed with a broken neck.

Aoki released a statement on the suit, saying: "I would never want anyone to get hurt at any of my shows and feel badly that someone has, but at this time I have been advised by my attorneys to not speak about this as it's going to trial. Thank you for your understanding."

The case is set to take place on August 28 at the Supreme Court in San Diego.- Staff Writers
