BAKERSFIELD, CA (CelebrityAccess) — AEG has named veteran facilities exec Steve Eckerson as the new general manager of Rabobank Arena.
Prior to his new gig, Eckerson had been overseeing the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California since 2007, according to the Bakersfield Californian. Eckerson's previous experience includes event sales and operations at CenturyLink Field management company First & Goal from 1999 to 2007, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Eckerson replaced Jon Dorman, who oversaw the arena since 2013 when the City of Bakersfield retained AEG to oversee the venue.
Prior to AEG coming aboard, the venue had seen deficits as high as $1.17 million, but AEG has paired losses down to an estimated $381,994 during the 2016-2017 fiscal year, the Californian said. – Staff Writers
