Streisand Ready To Return To The Road

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Rumors have been flying about a possible fall tour by Barbra Streisand, though published reports listing $1,500 tickets are incorrect, according to sources close to the singer.

Billboard reports that Rolling Stones promoter Michael Cohl is in the process of producing the Streisand tour, which will be her first trek since 2000. Streisand has never been shy of exorbitant ticket prices in the past, and fans have never shied away from them.

Aside from a John Kerry fundraiser in 2004, Streisand’s last performances were at Madison Square Garden on September 27 and 28, 2000. The two sell-outs grossed $14.4 million, with ticket prices listed at $2,500, $1,275, $375 and $150, according to Billboard.

She also topped out at $2,500 with shows at the Staples Center and the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the same tour.

Streisand’s manager, Marty Erlichman, would not confirm any details of the tour, but did not deny it either.

“A tour is being explored, but nothing has been finalized, including important aspects not entertained in the media speculation today,” Erlichman told < I>Billboard. “As soon as this is resolved one way or the other – she may not go out – the facts will be announced.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
