Suede Attempts Overdue Album

LONDON (VIP NEWS) — Suede frontman, Brett Anderson, has spoken about the future of the band and the importance of moving forward and making new material.

Speaking to BBC6 Music, he said the band were ready to create some new songs, “We're going to try to make a new Suede album but if the magic is not there then no one will hear it, that's the truth.”

Their last album was 'A New Morning' released in 2002 which, despite reasonable critical praise, sold very poorly.

Fresh from headlining Latitude on Sunday night (July 17), Anderson said that “unless we make a new album, I don't see that there's much future in just going around playing the same set from the 90s year after year.”

He went on to say, “It's really important to look back sometimes, as well as look forward, but I love making new music, I've just made a new solo album and that's what I'm going to be doing next.”

When Suede broke up in 2003, Anderson went on to release three solo albums. A fourth album, Black Rainbows, is due for release on September 26, through EMI.
