TALKING HEADS Comeback ?

The original members of TALKING HEADS are set to get back together for the first time in a decade to perform at their induction ceremony into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME.

The four, including litigious frontman David Byrne, will perform two tracks at New York's Waldorf Astoria on March 18. The ceremony will be broadcast on VH-1 two days later.

"We haven't decided which [songs] yet," drummer Tina Weymouth said on the band's official website, www.talking-heads.net. "The two songs are all that are allowed us at the ceremony, and yes, it will be at least all four Talking Heads which includes David, of course, playing TH songs."

The band split officially in 1991. Since then Byrne has not been on the best of terms with his former colleagues. In 1996 he issued legal proceedings against them to prevent them touring as Talking Heads. The action was settled out of court.

Fellow visionary New York punks The Ramones are also set to be induced into the Hall Of Fame on the night as will be Tom Petty, Isaac Hayes and 60s pop crooner Gene Pitney.

Artists become eligible for induction into the Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album. The Hall is in Cleveland, Ohio.
