CANYON, TX (CelebrityAccess) — A stage manager for the musical "Texas" was killed in a fireworks explosion at the Pioneer Amphitheatre in Palo Duro Canyon.
According to local ABC Affiliate KVII, 21-year-old stage manager Peyton Trueblood was killed when fireworks in the fireworks storage building exploded while Trueblood was taking inventory.
Pyrotechnics are used throughout the show. Specific information as to how the explosion happened was not immediately released and authorities said that the cause of the explosion was still under investigation. – Staff Writers
