The Orchard Adds EU Physical Dist. Via Intergroove

NEW YORK (Hypebot) –
The Orchard has partnered with German CD distributor Intergroove in a pan-European marketing and physical distribution partnership. Under the deal, Intergroove will handle the physical distribution of select Orchard releases including TVT Records, which The Orchard acquired in 2008. The Orchard already offers some labels physical distribution in the US.

Intergroove, whose European distribution partners include Wagram, Plastic Head and Border Music, reps both domestic and international independent labels including Ministry Of Sound, 3P, Get Physical, and Demolition.

The partnership’s first joint digital and physical release from Scottish group, The Cinematics hit last week supporting the band’s European tour. Next Intergroove will be re-issuing albums from TVT's Pitbull, the Ying Yang Twins, and Lil Jon. New album releases this Fall include, the “Black Dynamite” soundtrack, “The Green Ghost Project” by Styles P and DJ Green Lantern, and “Street Hop” from Royce Da 5’9. Commenting on the deal, The Orchard’s Executive Vice President and General Manager Brad Navin said, “We’re offering this service to ensure that great independent artists and labels continue to have choice in the way they deliver music, and for their fans around the world to be able to listen to this great music the way they choose. The provision of Europe wide physical distribution and marketing follows our commitment to provide our labels and artists a full service business partnership.”

“We’re pleased to been given the opportunity to physically exploit The Orchard's great artists and the TVT Records catalogue,” said Ralf Reichert, Managing Director for Intergroove. “With their strong back catalogue and many exciting new hip-hop and rock releases, we’re looking forward to working with The Orchard on a flow of exciting releases."
