The Specials Cancel Opening Night Of Brixton Stand

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Specials have announced the cancelation of the first gig of their five-night stand at the Brixton Academy in London.

The May 6th show has been pushed back to May 16th after singer Terry Hall was ordered to rest by a doctor due to a throat infection, Billboard reported.

Currently, the venue's website shows the May 6th show as canceled but the sold-out May 7, 8, 11 & 12 dates are still listed as a go.

The band only recently re-formed to tour the UK after having split up in 1981. Response to the tour has been quite positive and just about every date has sold out. Additional international festival dates are anticipated this summer. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
