LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — British pop group The Ting Tings had a big night at the UK Festival Awards, nabbing prizes for Best Pop Act, Best Newcomer and Anthem of the Summer for their song 'That's Not My Name.'
Other artists to take home awards included The Kings of Leon who were recognized as the Best Headliner for their performance at this year's Glasto, while rockers Biffy Clyro took the award for Best Rock Act after hitting home runs during their sets at Reading, Leeds, Glastonbury and other festivals.
Jay-Z was recognized with an award for the most memorable moment of the festival for his on-stage mocking of Oasis' Noel Gallagher while performing at Glastonbury. Gallagher had commented previously that hip-hop wasn't appropriate for the iconic Glastonbury.
Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis also took home an award for Outstanding Contribution To Festivals.
The UK Festival Awards have been held since 2004 and the awards are voted for entirely by festival fans.
