The Who Announce North American Dates For Farewell Tour

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — The legendary rock band The Who will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with a tour of North America in 2015.

"The Who Hits 50!" tour will have two legs in the U.S., the first kicking off with a show in Tampa on April 15th and running through May 30th when the group is scheduled to perform at Forest Hills, NY. The Who will then pick up the thread with a San Diego show on Sept 14th and winding down with a Nov. 4th show in Philadelphia.

The band will cover their classic catalog during the tour, inclusive of "Who’s Next", "Tommy", "Quadrophenia", "My Generation" and "Live At Leeds" and will be bolstering their 50th anniversary greatest hits collection, which is due to be released on Oct. 27, 2014 on Geffen/Universal.

The band has also pledged a portion of the ticket sales from the tour to benefit Teen Cancer America.

According to the members of the group, this tour will be their final bow. “This is the beginning of the long goodbye,” Roger Daltrey in a statement announcing the tour.
