The Who Postpones Tour Opener Due To Illness

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — The Who announced that they have postponed four shows on their fall "THE WHO HITS 50!" North American tour while the band's frontman Roger Daltry recovers from an illness.

In a press statement, a spokesperson for the band says that Daltry has been ordered by his doctor to rest while he is afflicted by an unspecified virus.

The canceled dates cover the first four tour stops for the band, including September 14 at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, September 16 at Honda Center in Anaheim, September 19 at Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and September 21 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, as well as the band's Sept. 19th show at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

At present, the band says that the tour will resume September 24 at Moda Center in Portland, OR. Details on the rescheduled dates will be announced in the coming weeks. – Staff writers
