The Who Turn Final US Date Into Cancer Benefit

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Who will be joined by Elvis Costello & The Imposters on Feb. 28th at Madison Square Garden for a benefit to raise money for Teen Cancer America and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Funds raised from the February 28 benefit concert will go towards helping hospitals develop units to support teenagers battling cancer as well as providing state-of-the-art facilities to keep patients occupied during long stays in hospital.

While the band have been core supporters of the Teen Cancer America, this will be the first New York-area fundraiser for the band. The show will also mark the final U.S. date of their current Quadrophenia & More tour.

Tickets and VIP packages for the February 28 fundraiser go on sale Saturday, February 2 at 10:00 AM via Ticketmaster, who are waiving convenience fees for fans purchasing VIP packages for the benefit. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
