NAPA, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Elizabeth Rush of the Elizabeth Rush Agency and Notable Talent's Sheila Groves-Tracey are teaming up to run a new theatre opening in Napa, California, The Uptown Theatre. The Theatre holds 850 seats and is a restored Art Deco venue which originally opened in 1937. The grand opening is scheduled for May 2010.
As the Talent Buyer, Elizabeth Rush will be booking a broad variety of talent. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Boz Scaggs, Shawn Colvin, Merle Haggard, Robert Cray, Richard Thompson, Los Lonely Boys and Ani DiFranco are among some of the artists already on the books. Elizabeth, a 30 year veteran of the music business, has worked as an agent at such agencies as William Morris, Concerted Efforts, and her own company, The Elizabeth Rush Agency.
Sheila Groves-Tracey is the theatres' new Executive Director and will be working closely with Elizabeth regarding the talent and has experience as a talent buyer herself in Northern California for the past 22 years. In coming to The Uptown, Sheila leaves behind the Mystic Theatre where she was Talent Buyer for the past 15 years. She will continue to buy for the Sausalito Art Festival, Novato Art and Wine, Earle Fest and private events.
