Tickets.com And Major League Baseball Renew And Expand Agreement

Tickets.com and MLB Advanced Media, the Internet and interactive media company of Major

League Baseball, have entered into a five year extension of their preferred ticketing services deal through the 2008 MLB season, according to Tickets.com CEO, Ron Bension. The agreement calls for MLBAM to utilize Tickets.com's proprietary Internet technology that allows for online ticket sales via MLB.com and individually branded MLB team web sites. Currently 20 of the 30 Major League Baseball teams utilize Tickets.com's ticketing services.

"Tickets.com worked extensively with MLB Advanced Media to address the needs of fans and the member Clubs, and we are excited about continuing our partnership," said Bension. "This deal represents a significant win for the company, validates Tickets.com as the leader in Internet ticketing, and positions us for unprecedented growth."

Tickets.com's expanded online services include individual ticket sales, Secondary Ticketing, season ticket sales and renewals, print-at-home ticketing, group ticket sales, and online coupons and gift certificates. The Tickets.com service menu also features enriched account management options that provide a detailed view of a ticket buyer's history and profile designed to offer further customized choices.

Additionally, the Tickets.com infrastructure allows Major League Baseball patrons the ability to select seating and gauge availability from an interactive graphic seat map for either individual games or season passes.
