Tim Alexander Re-Ups With Primus

SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The band Primus has announced that veteran drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander will rejoin the band, stepping in for the departing Jay Lane.

Alexander rejoins the band just in time to head into the studio where the band will begin working on their first album since 2011's "Green Naugayde." The group also appears poised for a string of tourdates in the summer and fall of 2014 in support of their upcoming release as well as their New Year's Eve show at the Fox Theatre in Oakland.

Additionally, fellow bandmember Les Claypool has just finished work on a Duo De Twang album, which will drop in early 2014 on ATO Records. Claypool will be touring with the band in October and He'll also perform with Tom Waits at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA.
