Tixdaq Acquires 3 Sports Websites

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — UK-based tick listing service Tixdaq.com has acquired three websites operated by Sportbuzz Limited, that include user generated sport magazine site Sportingo, and the football blog Caught Offside, as well as the directory of online sport video Get Sport. These sites generate 1m visits every month.

Tixdaq plans to use the established websites to position opportunities for sports fans to purchase tickets. Tixdaq offerings tickets to entertainment and sporting events from both primary and secondary vendors and offers price comparisons of tickets from these different sources.

Ze'ev Rozov, CEO of Sportingo, commented, "Sportbuzz operates three of the leading online sports content networks. We have focused on user-generated content written by fans, professionally edited, and enhanced with essential statistics and data to provide an enriched social media experience."

"All over the internet users are generating content whether as a comment, a photo, a video or just a tag. We see real opportunities to combine quality user generated content with our entertainment comparison service. We will be working hard to further execute on our goal of using social media and e-commerce to add real value to fans across many more entertainment passion points." said Steve Machin, EVP of Tixdaq. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
