Tom Cantone Releases Book 'Em

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Tom Cantone, Senior Vice President of Sports & Entertainment for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, has released a book recounting his more than 30 years in the casino entertainment business.

Entitled "Book 'Em, The Man Who Revolutionized Casino Entertainment," the book is a compilation of stories drawn from Cantone's years booking entertainment for the Hershey Entertainment & Resort Co., Atlantic City Sands and Mohegan Sun.

Cantone celebrated the publication of "Book 'Em" with a gala event at the at the exclusive Friars Club in New York on June 3rd, with a guest list that included Regis Philbin, who also served as host, actress Susan Lucci and Tony Orlando, along with family and friends.

Cantone is widely credited with helping to revolutionize entertainment fare at casinos. When Cantone got his start, casino entertainment was primarily focused on older talent while younger, hipper artists avoided casino bookings. Cantone helped to change that with by putting artists such as Eddie Murphy on stage at the Atlantic City Sands in 1985, which marked a turning point for casino entertainment.
