AUSTIN, TX (Hypebot) TuneCore, a flat fee digital distributor of independent music, will raise the bar of artist to fan engagement at SXSW with the official launch of DropKloud.
DropKloud uses geo-fencing technology to put VIP access to exclusive artist content into the hands of fans at SXSW. The free, app will allow fans to download "Klouds" from their favorite artists containing pre-released tracks, videos, and photos. DropKloud allows artists to drop "Klouds" to fans in a specific location, a shift in technology that could change the landscape of festival culture moving forward.

Artists performing at TuneCore Showcases at SXSW will be using the DropKloud platform to curate and share exclusive content for festival goers.
TuneCore Live: Austin will take place on March 20, 2015 at the Vulcan Gas Company, 418 E 6th St., from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All the performers will be sharing exclusive content on DropKloud. Fans who have downloaded the DropKloud app will gain access into the show.
