VERONA, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Oneida Indian Nation's Turning Stone Resort and Casino has been named Casino of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.
The nominees were announced in February, and ACM unveiled the awards on March 24th, about two weeks ahead of the CBS telecast of the awards show. Alas, like the technical awards for the Oscars, the Casino of the Year prize is one that will not be included in the televised ceremony.
Other contenders for award Casino of the Year were Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario, Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, Calif., Mystic Lake in Minneapolis, Minn. And The Peppermill Resorts at Wendover in West Wendover, Nev.
