TUSCALOOSA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The YMCA baseball fields may be the home of a new Amphitheater, if TTL, an environmental consulting firm reports favorably on the location The Tuscaloosa News reported.
The city has retained the firm to perform a site analysis on the site which is along the Black Warrior River near the Hugh Thomas Bridge.
The site has numerous trenches that have been filled in such a way as to make them questionable to support a large structure, according to analyst Frank Upchurch, who works with TTL.
The facility under discussion will accommodate 10,000 concert-goers, with fixed seating for 2,500 and the rest of the seats on a terraced lawn. The facility will also include a covered stage facility, dressing rooms, restrooms, and commercial and office spaces. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers.
