U2 Tops Ticketmaster's Most Requested Events, Concert Charts


(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — U2 is 2005’s top ticket attraction according to Ticketmaster. The band topped TM’s concerts and events chart.

"The event industry really sprung to life in 2005 as evidenced by the tremendous volume of ticket sales and requests for U2, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Coldplay and the many other great bands on tour this year, as well as hot-ticket playoff games including the New England Patriots and annual favorites such as the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus," said David Goldberg, EVP Strategy & Business Development, Ticketmaster. Ranking was based on online page views, information requests, and ticket sales through Ticketmaster sales channels, January 1, 2005 through November 30, 2005.
