LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) –The Office of Fair Trade has approved a proposed acquisition of indie record label, Big Life Music by Universal Music Publishing.
While no formal statement has been made, a spokesman for corporate supervisory group told Billboard that the OFT had determined that the deal did not "create a relevant merger situation."
"We are pleased with the OFT's thorough review and decision in this matter," Universal said in a statement. "We are delighted to bring Big Life into the UMPG family."
Big Life serves as the home to a spate of popular indie artists including Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy and Gabriela Montero. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
