UPDATE: Flom In At Virgin Records

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — On the heels of the announcement that chairman/CEO Matt Serletic was leaving the company effective immediately, Virgin Records has announced that former co-chairman/CEO of Atlantic Records Group Jason Flom will step in to replace him.

According to Billboard, Flom is expected to take the reins at the company as soon as Monday, October 24th.

The move ends months of speculation about the leadership of EMI’s Virgin label, and, especially, where and when Flom would resurface. Flom resigned from Atlantic on August 17th.

Working for Atlantic for 26 years, Flom’s A&R credits include Sugar Ray, Kid Rock, Tori Amos, Simple Plan, Skid Row, Twisted Sister, Matchbox Twenty and the Corrs. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
