Uptown Concerts Cancels Shows After Venue Closes

RANDALLSTOWN, MD (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A number of shows planned by Maryland promoter Uptown Concerts have been cancelled after the venue where they were to be held was abruptly closed due to financial constraints.

The venue in question, the Adat Chaim Synagogue had contacted Uptown about bringing a concert series to the Synagogue, but were informed by their bank on June 30th that they needed to vacate the building.

Affected shows include folk singer-songwriter Susan Werner on Nuly 15th and fiddler/hammer dulcimar player Ken Kolodner & fiddler Elke Baker on August 12th

Despite the cancellatios, Uptown Concert promoted shows at Baldwin’s Station will go ahead as well as the return of The Cellar Stage in the fall. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
