LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — David Vickers has been named as the new SVP of international venue development at Live Nation.
Heretofore, Vickers as served as a manager in the division, overseeing the expansion of Live Nation's oversees interests, particularly in the UK where the firm recently acquired the Sheffield and the Hammersmith Apollo among others.
According to Billboard, Vickers was also instrumental in the sale of Donington Park, LN landing Wembly Arena and the Cosmedia group deal which is paving the way for LN's entry into the Chinese market.
"David's appointment to this new role is am important step in Live Nation's venue expansion plans in both new and existing territories," said Alan Ridgeway, CEO International, in a statement.
