Savoy Label Group (SLG) has signed Andreas Vollenweider to a multi-album, worldwide deal to it's newly-formed Kin Kou label. SLG's label for world music artists, Kin Kou kicks off a year-long rollout of projects from Vollenweider with the release in June of a greatest hits package for the US titled "The Magic Harp," which includes a cd with tracks that span his entire career and a bonus dvd with never-before seen concert, interview and documentary footage.
Following in July, Kin Kou will begin releasing 24-bit remastered editions of Vollenweider's back catalog. Each reissue will include extra tracks and a bonus dvd with exclusive footage. In September, Kin Kou will release "Vox," a collection of all new recordings written, arranged and produced by Vollenweider. This will coincide with the airing of the "Vox" concert on PBS filmed in Zurich's renowned Music Hall last December. A Fall tour of the United States is currently being planned.
