Warner Music Names Kevin Gore To Lead New Arts Division

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Warner Music Group has launched a new Arts Music Division, focused on signing, developing, and marketing artists and releases from artists in the classical, musical theatre, jazz, children's music and film score fields.

The new unit will be led by industry veteran Kevin Gore. Gore's resume includes serving as President & CEO of WMG’s Rhino Entertainment/Global Catalog Division as well as President of Universal Classics US.

Gore will be based in New York and report to Eliah Seton, President of ADA Worldwide, WMG’s Independent distribution and services arm.

As a part of the launch, Warner Classics, including Warner's Erato label, will be folded under the new Arts Music Division umbrella. Warner Classics & Erato President Alain Lanceron will report to Gore and continue to be based in Paris.

As well, WMG has formed a joint venture with Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records, the theatrical music company founded by Kurt Deutsch in 2000. Deutsch, who will serve as Senior Vice President, Theatrical & Catalog Development for Warner/Chappell Music, will continue to oversee Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight and will report to Gore. – Staff Writers
