(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Jazz Journalists Association (JJA), representing more than 400 writers, broadcasters, photographers and new media professionals worldwide, has issued the final nominees in 40 categories of achievement for the Jazz Awards 2005, its ninth annual ceremony honoring jazz musicians and their supporters.
The Jazz Awards is a benefit for the Jazz Foundation of America's Musicians Emergency Fund and for the Jazz Journalists Association's educational initiatives. The 2005 JJA Jazz Awards celebration, a cocktail-and-supper party with musical entertainment, will be held on June 14 at B.B. King's Blues Club and Grill in New York City.
For Jazz Events Producer of the Year, the nominees are Todd Barkan/Jazz at Todd Barkin/Jazz at Lincoln Center, Randall Kline/SFJazz, Patricia Nicholson-Parker/Vision Series and George Wein/Festival Productions. — Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
