(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The newly refurbished Wembley Arena proved a spark of hope, despite the negative press surrounding the nearby Wembley Stadium, with a successful sold out re-opening concert on Sunday, April 2 with Depeche Mode.
Wembley Arena General Manager Peter Tudor presented the band with an award to mark the first performance after the £35 million refurbishment.
The new design includes a stunning triple-height entrance, complete with a 200 seat restaurant and bar overlooking a square with fountains and lighting effects.
The Arena has several other shows booked in the coming weeks, including Take That, Santana, Il Divo, Cliff Richard, BB King & Gary Moore, Girls Aloud, Michael Flatley’s Celtic Tiger show, Dame Shirley Bassey and others. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
