GERMANY: The Love Parade saga continues to cause problems between the promoter, Planetcom and the Berlin Senate. However, the Berlin Senate has now officially declared that it wont register the event as a demonstration and have also offered to provide Planetcom with special permission to use public areas.
Planetcom however, has not yet agreed to take the Senate up on its offer. Regardless of all the ongoing negotiations it was strange to see that the Sddeutsche Zeitung had recently reported, that since 1999, a porn movie production company had been making X-rated films on the back of one the trucks used in the parade. The film titled Sex Parade had in previous years, up to 14 different TV stations filming the so called Sex Parade This year however, the producer only wants one TV station to join the film crew to record this documentary.
This may be Planetcoms one chance to prove to the local authorities that the Love Parade is still, only a demonstration.
