Windish Moves Into Music Licensing

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Windish Agency has launched their new, in-house music licensing department, Windish Music Licensing. Windish Music Licensing will offer services such as securing sync and master licenses in the visual media world to many of the agency's touring clients.

"Music placements have been integral to the overall presence of many of our clients, especially early on in their careers, and can also provide an important source of revenue. I'm hopeful that we will be able to extend the awareness and reach of many of our clients with our music licensing division." said agency president Tom Windish, in a statement.

Glen Phillips will oversee the department as Director of Music Licensing and licensing operations will be based out of Windish's newly-opened L.A. offices. Glen, a 20-year veteran of the music industry, also works as an artist manager, representing clients Over the Rhine and The Ruby Friedman Orchestra.

"I'm very excited to be heading up Windish Music Licensing. The agency's roster is remarkably well suited for this endeavor, and music licensing is a natural extension for a company like Windish. Many of our artists control their own copyrights, and the agency has an uncanny ability for picking up on the next big thing."
