LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — The Estate of blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan has entered into a worldwide administration deal with Wixen Music Publishing.
In additon to Stevie's music, the deal also includes the repertoire of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s brother, Jimmie Vaughan,including the works written for his former band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
A family-run business with offices in Los Angeles and a sister company, Wixen Music UK Ltd. in London, Wixeen has been handling music publishing since 1979 and represents repertoire for artists including blues legend Memphis Slim, Rick James, Steely Dan's Donald Fagan, Mazzy Star and numerous others.
Other recent signings include Roger McGuinn, Chicago founding member Robert Lamm, Jefferson Airplane's Grace Slick and ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabokoro. – Staff Writers
