NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Label giant Warner Music Group announced that they are expanding their digital team with two new hires.
WMG has appointed Michael Drexler as VP, Digital Strategy & Corporate Development, and Allan Coye has been named VP, Digital Strategy & Business Development. Based in New York, both Drexler and Coye report to Ole Obermann, WMG’s Chief Digital Officer & EVP, Business Development, and they are the first new hires by Obermann since he joined the company at the end of last year.
Drexler's portfolio at WMG includes strategic investments and corporate development, while Coye will be tasked with developing digital business for Warners, including working with video and streaming services.
Drexler comes to Warner from BMI, where he was executive director, but also held senior positions at Sony Music. He started his career as an audio engineer, working at Sony Music and BMG/RCA Recording Studios, where he earned 2 Grammy nominations.
Coye previously served as Vice President, Strategy & Business Development at Viacom Music & Entertainment Group as well as a stint as Director of Business Development at SpinMedia. He's also worked in the world of finance, with analysis and deal execution roles at Goldman Sachs, Investcorp International and Credit Suisse. – Staff Writers
