LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Will Tanous has been bumped up to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for Warner Music Group.
In his new position, Tanous will continue to oversee WMG's media relations, internal and external communications, events and philanthropy. Tanous also supervises the interaction and coordination of the communications functions of Warner Music Group's operating companies.
Tanous joined WMG in 1993 and was considered instrumental in the acquisition to the investor group led by Edgar Bronfman Jr.
Among some of Tanous' to find new promotional outlets for Warner Artists, was his co-creation of HBO's Live music series "Reverb."
Prior to joining WMG, Tanous held positions at Warner Music International and Geffen Records. He also served as president of two independent record labels. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
