LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A Brit radio station has sparked a wave of apparent madness in the UK after running a contest in which they said they would give away a pair of tickets to the upcoming Led Zep reunion to the fan who best demonstrated their dire desire to go. Fans took them up on the challenge.
According to the Guardian, some fans, like fireman Ray Daniel, resorted to stripping naked and streaking around the city center in a blaze of pale English flesh while others marched 32km to the station, their bare chests emblazoned with magic marker confirmation of their fanhood.
One man offered to surrender a 2006 World Cup football jersey signed by David Beckham & Wayne Rooney while another volunteered to careen his car off of the white cliffs of Dover.
The winner however turned out to be 37-year-old Grant Marzell, who consented to having his chest hair waxed off in the broadcast studio, then got the radio station's logo tattooed on his arm, the Guardian reported.
