HONOLULU, Hawaii (CelebrityAccess) — Sentencing for a concert promoter who previously admitted to defrauding the University of Hawaii over a fake Stevie Wonder fundraiser concert has been delayed after he filed a motion to change his guilty plea.

According to the Associated Press, U.S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi postponed the sentencing hearing scheduled on Friday for Marc Hubbard after he filed the motion and set a date in March for a hearing to determine if he’ll be able to withdraw his plea.

Hubbard pleaded guilty in 2016 to wire fraud, claiming that he had deceived the university about his ability to arrange a concert with Stevie Wonder in 2012. The university claims they paid Hubbard a $200,000 deposit and began selling tickets for the show when they learned that Wonder and his team were unaware of the date.

Thousands of tickets were refunded, leaving the school on the hook for the costs, and leading to a criminal investigation.
