BOSTON (CelebrityAccess) — Aretha Franklin has canceled yet another upcoming concert, citing doctor’s orders.

Franklin, who is now 76, was scheduled to perform at the Boch Center in downtown Boston on June 2nd. However, the show’s promoters, Parachute Concerts, announced via social media that the concert was canceled.

“We regret to inform that Aretha Franklin’s June 2 show at Boch Center Wang Theatre has been canceled, citing doctors orders to stay off the road and rest completely.

“There will not be a rescheduled date. Refunds are available at points of purchase.

“We wish Ms. Franklin a speedy recovery and look forward to her future return to Boston.”

The Boston show is the latest in a string of cancellations for Franklin in recent months, including her headlining performance at the Toronto Jazz Fest, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and a birthday show at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on March 25.

At present, she has no additional scheduled shows. Her last public show was when she performed at the Ravinia Festival last September.
