(CelebrityAccess) — Nu metal band Islander’s journey with the Vans Warped Tour has come to an end after the band let things get a little too punk rock.

The band’s frontman Mikey Carvajal revealed that the band had been removed from the tour after he damaged a backline drum kit during their performance.

“We just wanted to say to anybody that planned to come out and hang out with us at Vans Warped Tour, we’re not going to be able to be there unfortunately because we goofed up today,” Carvajal said in a video of the incident. “During the last song of our set, I dove into the drum kit, just some of that punk rock energy that I’ve got just ran through my veins, and I didn’t even think about the fact that we were using a backline kit that didn’t belong to us. I ended up putting a dent in one of the floor toms, so we’ve been asked to be removed from Warped Tour.”

Despite being removed from the tour, there seemed to be no hostility over being dropped from the lineup from the band and Carvajal took a moment to recognize the hard work of Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman and urged fans to continue to support the touring festival as it makes its final bow this summer.

“This is not a reason for you guys not to go and support all the incredible bands, Wage War, Assuming We Survive. It’s an amazing year and because it’s ending we are so thankful that we got to play even one date of it. Thank you so much to Kevin for having us and make sure to go shake his hand if you see him and thank him for everything he’s done for the scene.”

The Warped Tour (sans Islander) continues on Tuesday night at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis.
