LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Motley Crue may have ended touring forever but that doesn’t mean the band isn’t active.
Singer Vince Neil tweeted yesterday that the four members of the band are heading into the studio.
“Exciting news!” Neil wrote. “I’ll be going back in recording studio in a few weeks with the boys to record 4 brand new Motley Crue tracks! Rock On!”
However, it doesn’t appear (yet) to be a cop-out on the band’s public signing of a contract that its last tour would be its last.
“For those of you who don’t understand, yes ‘the boys’ means Motley and we signed a contract not to tour anymore,” he said in a followup tweet. “We never broke up or said we would never make music again. Hope this clears it up.”
The band signed a “cessation of touring agreement” at a press conference in Los Angeles in January 2014 with the last show the following New Year’s Eve at the city’s Staples Center. Neil made a follow-up tweet that appears to honor that agreement.
