ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) EDM star Zedd announced he has canceled a Feb. 1 show at Opera Atlanta and, although the announcement does not mention it, the Atlanta nightclub has recently made news for an alleged sexual assault that was recorded on Facebook Live.

“Hey guys. I’m sorry I will no longer be performing at Opera Atlanta on February 1st,” Zedd tweeted. “I’m looking forward to coming back to Atlanta ASAP.”

Although the announcement did not mention the incident, it was flooded with responses such as, “You have no idea how much this means to the Atlanta community for you to take a stand against sexual assault! Thank you!!!” and “This is amazing. Thank you for caring. So much respect coming your way for making this decision.”

Atlanta police are investigating the sexual assault after the department received calls from people who saw the incident on a Facebook Live video early Sunday morning, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. They announced on Monday that had identified and contacted the man in the video.

A woman was celebrating her birthday at the popular nightclub and was streaming her celebration when the video captured the attack as it happened on the dance floor, and she continued to stream it live, screaming “No, stop,” according to the paper. The woman later told police someone put drugs in her drink then assaulted her. A caller told police she saw a video of a woman being groped and possibly being raped.

Officers arrived at the nightclub and consulted security but could not find the victim, then realized the video was recorded an hour before they arrived.

The video has since been removed from Facebook.

“At this time we have met with the Atlanta Police Department and have provided them with everything they have requested,” Opera Atlanta said in a statement posted Sunday. “We will continue to aid and support their investigation in any way we can.”

Some YouTube videos have captured the video and mentioned the name of the alleged victim.
