NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Sony Music Entertainment announced they were partnering with veteran music entrepreneur Chris Zarou to launch a talent development venture along with a new label imprint, Visionary Records.
Zarou will serve as CEO of the new New York-based imprint and, unsurprisingly, Sony Music will handle distribution for new artists signed to Visionary.
Zarou is the CEO of independent artist management company Visionary Music Group, which he founded in 2010 and which he has since parlayed into a commercial, touring, merchandise and branding success.
Zarou’s management roster includes the Grammy-nominated Logic, who has racked up more than 4.5m of what would have been album sales in the old days, and consumption and sold over 650,000 tickets. He also represents the rising pop artist Jon Bellion, who scored the three-times platinum hit, “All Time Low” and has now played over 100 consecutive sold out shows.
