ABILENE, Texas (CelebrityAccess) Boosie Badazz is expected to perform at the Taylor County Expo Center tomorrow night in Abilene, Texas, after a show was canceled at the Abilene Convention Center because of a threat of “gang violence.”
A representative from the Expo Center told KTAB-TV that the event is still of great concern to 10 Abilene police officers will be working security and there will be sheriffs deputies available if backup is needed.
The rapper was originally scheduled for them convention center but the police canceled the event and refunded all tickets after police received an anonymous tip there would be gang violence.
“Research was conducted in relation to previous concerts in other cities, and the Department learned that there had been violence during several concerts. One such concert left three people shot and one dead,” the Abilene Police Department said in a statement. “It is important to note that the violence did not occur inside the venue, but instead when people were leaving the concert.”
Last month, a promoter at a Boosie Badazz show was arrested for attempted murder after an argument over money apparently turned south.
