QUEBEC CITY, (CelebrityAccess) — Quebec City unveiled the lineup for the 52nd annual Festival d’ete de Quebec.
One of the largest outdoor music festivals in Canada if not al of North America, the 2019 edition of FEQ takes place over 11 days, from July 4 -14 in venues across downtown Quebec City. For 2019, FEQ’s lineup features performances by Mariah Carey, Chvrches, alt-J, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blink-182 and more.
While it’s still somewhat of a hidden gem in the U.S., FEQ was founded in 1968 and it predates other major festivals, including Woodstock and Glastonbury.
In all, more than 250 performances are scheduled to take place in 10 venues around Quebec City in 2019, including the festival’s main Bell Stage, which is on the Plains of Abraham.
This year, the festival will offer a new ‘Festival Headquarters’ at the Quebec Armory, allowing attendees a moment of respite for a drink or snack between shows.
As well, late night entertainment for after the main performances is planned for inside the armory with shows and other events scheduled from 10:30 pm to 2 am.
Passes, which went on sale on April 4, are $105 (CAD) for all 11 days and are transferable. FEQ also features free entertainment daily at two outdoor stages.
