SANDY SPRINGS, GA (CelebrityAccess) — Migos rapper Offset is facing new legal charges on Friday after law enforcement officials issued a felony arrest warrant after he was captured on video apparently knocking a phone out of a fan’s hand.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution police in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs, Ga. issued the warrant for Kiari Kendrell Cephus, Offset’s real name, after he was alleged to have destroyed the fan’s phone.

A video recorded by the phone i question of the incident appears to show the teenaged fan recording Offset while in a target, prompting the rapper to walk up and bat the phone from the teenager’s hand.

According to a police report obtained by AJC Sandy Springs police officers were called to the Target to investigate damage to property. The victim, 18-year-old Junior Gibbons, alleged that his $800 iPhone 8 was destroyed in the incident, the police report said.

“When he put his hands up, I thought he was gonna throw up some gang signs or something, but he ended up just smacking my phone down,” Gibbons told the AJC. “He didn’t really have to smack my phone like that.”

The charges are the latest in a growing list Cephus is facing in Georgia. In July, he was pulled over for a motor vehicle violation and subsequently arrested on charges that he was illegally in possession of a firearm.
