Woodstock 50 Loses Its Second Production Partner

(CelebrityAccess) — Shortly after Watkins Glen International Speedway revealed on Monday that it had terminated its contract to host Woodstock 50, the festival’s production company CID Entertainment announced they were pulling out as well.

“CID Entertainment had been engaged to provide enhanced camping, travel packages and transportation for Woodstock 50. Given developments, we can confirm that CID is no longer involved in Woodstock 50 in any capacity,” CID Entertainment’s Dan Berkowitz told Billboard in a statement.

CID is the second production company to cut ties with the festival after they replaced Rick Farman’s Superfly, who dropped out of producing Woodstock 50 earlier this year amid a legal battle between festival organizers and their former financial partners Dentsu Aegis.

Woodstock 50, which is intended to mark the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music & Arts Fair, was announced earlier this year with a high power lineup that included Dead and Company, Jay-Z, Imagine Dragons, Miley Cyrus, and The Killers. However, with just 65 days before the festival gates are due to open, the loss of key partners such as the venue and producers make the likelihood of the festival successfully taking place increasingly unlikely.

A spokesperson for the festival did not respond to a request for an update on the status of the event.
