MANCHESTER, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess) A 27-year-old man who attended Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tenn., died Saturday, according to officials.
Organizers said a medical team in Plaza 11 responded to a medical situation at a nearby campsite and found the victim, who had been camping with his father, unresponsive, but breathing, according to The Tennessean.
The festival’s EMS team and Coffee County Emergency Medical Services were on the scene within minutes, according to organizers, with the team administering CPR.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead; the cause of death was not immediately known although, according to a statement from Bonnaroo, the victim appeared to have an underlying medical condition.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends,” the statement said. Organizers and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office are not releasing additional information about the death or the victim’s identity.
