NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — On Tuesday, Live Nation announced that the first three concerts of Madonna’s upcoming Madame X tour, have been postponed due to production delays.
Affected shows include Madonna’s Sept. 12th tour opener and a followup Sept. 14th show at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, as well as Madonna’s September 15th performance at the venue.
“As a result of the highly specialized production elements being delayed, Live Nation has confirmed that the first 3 concerts of Madonna’s Madame X Tour – a series of rare and intimate performances – has been delayed,” a rep for Live Nation said.
The tour will now launch at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on Sept. 17th, with rescheduled dates on October 10th and October 12th.
However, the show previously scheduled for September 15th has been fully canceled with Live Nation attributing the lost date to “scheduling limitations and venue availability.”
A statement from Madonna said: “Madame ❌ Is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience. She underestimated the amount of time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect!!! Thank you so much for your understanding.”
