CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) — Chicago police and federal agents were reportedly in the process of searching the private jet and luggage and of Juice WRLD and his entourage when the 21-year-old rapper went into convulsions and suffered a cardiac arrest early Sunday morning.

According to the Chicago Tribune, law enforcement officials had been waiting for Juice WRLD’s plane at Atlantic Aviation hangar at Midway as they suspected the plane was carrying contraband.

Law enforcement sources told the Tribune that the search of the plane discovered 41 “vacuum-sealed” bags of marijuana, six bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup, two 9 mm pistols, a .40-caliber pistol, a high-capacity ammunition magazine, and metal-piercing bullets. Two members of the security detail are facing misdemeanor charges related to the firearms.

The drugs were contained in unlabeled suitcases with no identifying information while the firearms were carried by a member of Juice WRLD’s security team, and at present, no drug charges have been filed.

While law enforcement officials were conducting their search, Juice WRLD — whose real name is Jarad Higgins — began to suffer seizures.

The Tribune reported that police asked his girlfriend, who was present at the time, if he had any medical issues or if he had ingested any drugs. She reportedly told police that while he did not have medical issues, he “takes Percocet and has a drug problem.”

A federal agent administered two doses of Narcan, an emergency medication intended to treat opioid overdoses.
